It is true that man has been dangling since ages on a thought enabling him to conceptualize something which is both unseen and unheard in all realms of knowledge. Art is one of the fields which ushers him into the world of imagination, ecstasy and beauty of highest order marked with total freedom of thought and expression. In the words of Picasso, ”Art washes away the dust of everyday life”. Art is a three-letter word that contains in itself man's unquenchable thirst for creativity manifested with full vigour and energy in various forms, colours and emotions. Art is both charismatic and captivating in its appeal; it has blessed the humanity with the divine feeling of joy and satisfaction, which leads him finally to the realization of his inner being.
My art process is similar to this phenomenon of inner being realisation. As I lift my paint covered brush, the forms, figures and shapes of my compositions smear across the canvas with varying hues, and colours start floating in my imagination hazily. The moment I reach the canvas, every doubt melts away to my scheme of placement and colours. As an artist I feel that man and machine, which were inter locked in a never-ending duel for supremacy until now, seem to be heading towards the stage where both are found consoling and comforting each other. Fortunately, the cold war between man and machine is generating some highly sophisticated and subtle concepts and forms which are ultimately giving birth to a triumphant man mechanized in structure but soft in sensibilities. When I paint, I feel alive. I am interested in what is happening around me. In my early days I wanted to be a singer but then I realized that I am more comfortable with painting. Being a singer and a poet, I admire beautiful things like flowers and soft looking things. However, my paintings may seem more on the thought provoking side for viewers.
